Our Divinity Department has started to operate in Nicosia, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, since the 2015-2016 academic year.

The education period is 5 years, with one year of compulsory Arabic preparatory education. In addition, 30% of the courses are given in Arabic.

Our department aims to bring its students to a more advantageous position by understanding, interpreting and analysing the social, psychological and philosophical dimension of religion with a multi-faceted approach to produce information and to offer solutions to the needs of the individual and society in terms of religious beliefs and values. It also aims to train scientists, intellectuals, researchers, teachers and experts in the field of religious services, to contribute to the correct understanding of its corporate identity and higher education framework, religious beliefs/sects and to develop relations between members of different religious beliefs/sects in the globalizing world we are living in.

Formation

Pedagogical formation courses are given within the body of our department during the education process. Our students who graduate with a formation certificate gain the right to become a teacher.
